A Trail Through Time Peru

    - Inca Trail

            Machu Picchu, Cuzco

    Dec. 28, 2003 ~ Dec. 31, 2003

Inca trail, the most famous trail in the world, is our major reason to go for this Peru trip. Because hikers are required by law to go with a certified Peru guide in order to hike on this trail since 2001, we chose the typical method - to join a shard group hiking managed by a local travel agency. It turned out to be very good and convenient - the agency took care of every thing during the whole trip (we just need to walk.), and it was a nice experience to hike with a group of hikers from different countries, really cool. The only disadvantage was that all members in the group needed to have the same hiking pace; this made me really nervous because I always like to walk slowly, to look around, and to take pictures.

This was the major part of my Peru trip. You can use the "date buttons" below for details of this hike only, or click here for the details of the whole trip, including Cuzco and Lima.
